Fresh clash in Kailali, seven security men injured

At least seven security personnel were injured in a clash with the Maoists near Ranikunda area of Kailali district Thursday. 

The gunbattle that started from early morning still continues, reports said. Security sources in Kathmandu said air raids have been launched against the Maoists along with ground operation. Backup forces have been sent to the area, they said. 

Casualty on the Maoist side is not known while the details of the clash are still awaited. nepalnews.com mbk Dec 30 04
