Eight Maoists killed on Friday, clashes in Kailali confirmed
Five Maoists were killed in clashes between security forces and Maoists on Friday morning in Morang district, security sources said.
More details of the clashes are still awaited, the sources told Nepalnews. In yet another security action today, three Maoist rebels were killed in Dahagadi of Makwanpur district.
Similarly according to the sources, clashes between security forces and Maoists took place at Batkauwa area in Kailali district on Thursday. The sources said that details of the Kailali clashes are also awaited but reports quoting local security sources said that at least 22 Maoists were killed in the incident.
Security operations is underway in the area, reports added.
