Four new class rooms have been added at the Jana Jagriti Primary School at Jaisithok VDC-2 in Kavre district with support from Asia Friendship Network (AFN), a Japanese charity.
Chairman of the Network, Yujiro Isimaru, and former chairman of the Jaisithok VDC, Bidur Sapkota, jointly inaugurated the newly constructed class rooms amid a ceremony in Kavre last month.
Addressing the function, Isimaru said Asia Friendship Network had supported in constructing school buildings and class rooms of 13 schools over the last decade and that they would continue their support to various schools in remote areas as per their capacity.
During the same function, a member of the AFN, Sinohara Teojo, planted saplings of 21 different varieties within the school premises and handed them over to the school. A five-member team of the AFN took part in the ceremony.
South Asia representative of the AFN, Ganesh Man Lama, thanked the Network for its continuous support to build educational infrastructure in the remote areas of Nepal and hoped that local community would be able to take maximum benefit out of such supports. He also spoke about the activities and future plans of the organisation. nepalnews.com by Apr 01 05
