Before departing for Dhaka, FM Pandey told reporters at the Tribhuvan International Airport that Nepal would mainly stress on facilitating cooperation in water resources, roads and aviation sectors at the December 18-19 BIMST-EC meet.
He further said the meeting would be important in giving concrete shape to the ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the member states. Pandey informed that he would hold bilateral talks with the foreign ministers of the South and South East Asian countries gathered at the meeting.
The BIMST-EC was established in 1997 with an aim to foster economic cooperation among five nations - India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Thailand – while Nepal and Bhutan joined the forum in 2004. nepalnews.com mk Dec 17 05
