A civilian killed, 11 injured in explosion
At least a person was killed and eleven others were injured when landmine
said to have been laid by Maoist insurgents exploded in western district of
Arghakhanchi on Sunday.
The explosion took place at a place called Dibarna while local people were
trying to reconnect water pipes cut down by Maoist insurgents some time
back. The rebels had also reportedly laid down mines after cutting off the
water supply to the area.
One of the three seriously injured persons-who were airlifted to Kathmandu
for treatment-succumbed to his injuries, reports said.
