Four Maoists killed in fresh clashes

At least four Maoist insurgents were killed in separate encounters with the security forces in Ilam and Chitwan districts Sunday. 

Three militants including an area commander were killed when they came face to face with the Unified Command forces at Shantipur of Ilam, eastern Nepal, this afternoon, reports said. The Maoist area commander has been identified as Sonam Rai while the identity of two others killed in the encounter remains unknown.

In a similar incident in Chitwan today, one Maoist cadre was killed at Bojhang area, reports quoting local security sources said. nepalnews.com mbk June 05 05
