| Three Maoists killed in clashes; Maoists kill civilian
At least three Maoist insurgents have been killed in latest security actions in Sankhuwasabha and Salyan districts.
Two militants were shot and killed during a search operation carried out at Gufa area of Sankhuwasabha district on Wednesday, a statement of the Directorate of Public Relations (DPR) of the Royal Nepalese Army said.
Likewise, one Maoist was killed at the Ala jungle area in Salyan district yesterday after he tried to opened fire at a security patrol.
Pistol, bullets, socket bombs, devices used in detonating landmines, one communication set, one camera and Rs 130 thousand cash were recovered form the dead Maoist, the DPR said.
Identity of the rebels killed in both incidents remains unknown.
Meanwhile, the Maoists have killed a civilian in Piparhawa VDC, Kapilvastu district, on Tuesday.
Shankar Pathak, a labourer at a brick factory in Chakarchoudaha was dragged by a group of Maoists out of the factory and then was shot in the head, the DPR statement said.
