Two civilians killed in blast
Two civilian women were killed and three others wounded when
explosives left behind by suspected Maoists went off at Sitara
Jaluke area in the western district of Arghakhanchi on Monday.
Reports quoting local security sources said the blast that occurred
at a jungle in the area killed two local women, Sumitra Rajali
Magar and Basanti Rajali Magar, on the spot.
Three injured persons including a child are undergoing treatment
at Lumbini Zonal Hospital in Rupandehi, reports added.
Meanwhile, according to the Royal Nepalese Army, one Maoist militant
was killed during a security action at Sijuwa area Monday afternoon.
