Japanese assistance for school in Palpa
Japan has decided to extend a grant assistance of over four million rupees to Masyam Village Development Committee for the construction of Saraswati Primary School Building in Masyam Masyam Village Development Committee (VDC), Palpa District.

The Rs 4,804,744.00 grant (under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) scheme of the Government of Japan, fiscal year 2005) will be utilized for the construction of a two and a half storey school building consisting of 10 rooms and a separate toilet building.
The grant will also cover the procurement of furniture for the classrooms, library and school office.
The total project cost is Rs 6,412,122, of which Masyam VDC, the school and the community will contribute up to 25 percent of the cost, the release said.
