Newly appointed DDC chairman of Jajarkot not traced so far

Even after a week of appointment, district authorities in mid-western Jajarkot district have not been able to trace recently appointed District Development Chairman, Chandra Bahadur Singh.

“Since we were not able to trace Chandra Bahadur Singh, we have informed the authorities,” reports quoted chief district officer Shiva Prasad Nepal as saying.

Meanwhile, a local RPP leader and former DDC member, Indra Bahadur Singh, has claimed that the appointment was meant for him and the announcement was a mistake.

On Monday last week, the government had nominated chairmen and vice-chairmen in 25 DDCs across the country.
