Seven-party alliance announces fresh stir

Coinciding with the departure of the US Principal Assistant Secretary of State for South Asian Affairs, Donald Camp, the alliance of seven opposition political parties has announced nationwide fresh demonstrations against the February 1 royal takeover.

As per the announcement on Tuesday, the alliance will hold nationwide rallies against the King’s move on July 10 and convene a special session of the dissolved House of Representatives and the National Assembly on July 19 and July 26 respectively.

The central meeting of the joint coordination committee of the alliance has asked district coordination committees to carry out district level demonstrations from July 20-25.
