Four Maoists killed in encounters
At least four Maoists were killed in security actions carried out by the Unified Command forces in different parts of the country Wednesday.
According to the Directorate of Public Relations (DPR) of the Royal Nepalese Army, two Maoists identified as Nanda Ram Poudel and Surath Chand were killed during a search operation at the Rumjeli Salkot area in the mid-western district of Dailekh this afternoon.
Similarly one militant namely Ramesh Yadav was shot dead at Nyaulihawa of Rupandehi district while one unidentified Maoist was killed in a clash with the security forces at Puranchour area in the western Myagdi district.
One pistol, mobile phone sets, socket bombs, explosives and Maoist literature were recovered from the incident sites, DPR added. nepalnews.com mbk June 29 05
