New Baneshwor declared restricted area
In a bid to thwart mass meeting of the CPN-UML slated for December 2, the District Administration Office (DAO) Kathmandu has declared various locations in the city including new Baneshwor as prohibited areas on the day.
The DAO in a notice issued Tuesday said the areas from Maitighar to Teenkune and to Tilganga, Bagmati Bridge and the area starting from old Baneshwor chowk to new Baneshwor chowk have been declared as areas where gatherings, processions, sit-ins and strikes have been banned.
The government had also created various obstacles in zonal level meetings of CPN UML in Butwal and Kaski.
Their Majesties, King Gyanendra and Queen Komal, are scheduled to return home after completing their three week long visit on December 2. nepalnews.com pb Nov 30 05
