NHRC to monitor Friday’s demonstration
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has said that it will monitor the peaceful demonstration of the political parties to be held in Kathmandu on Friday.
A statement issued by the Commission on Wednesday said that the NHRC took the decision as the constitution of the Kingdom of Nepal guarantees peoples’ right for peaceful assembly.
Tuesday’s meeting of the NHRC decide to mobilize a monitoring team headed by NHRC member Sudip Pathak and other officials of the NHRC to monitor Friday’s demonstration.
