Newly elected representatives assume office in Biratnagar, Janakpur 
108 representatives elected from Biratnagar municipality in the recently held municipal election were sworn in on Tuesday.
Minister for Local Development Tanka Dhakal and assistant Minister Roshan Karki were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, newly elected Mayor Prahlad Prasad Shah expressed commitment to work for the welfare of people.
According to state run media, a large number of people were present at the programme.
The voter turn out ratio was 38 percent in the municipality.
Likewise, newly elected representatives of Janakpur municipality assumed their office on Tuesday.
