Cabinet picks Singh as envoy for India

The cabinet meeting, Sunday morning, has picked Durgesh Man Singh, as an ambassadorial nominee for India.

Singh was picked after the government withdrew its earlier nominee Shailaja Acharya on health grounds.

Singh, a nephew of late Nepali Congress leader Ganesh Man Singh, is a former Nepali ambassador to Brussels.

He is also a former student of current Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.

Meanwhile, Minister for Education and Sports Pradeep Nepal informed that the Prime Minister will administer oath of offices to Maoist-nominated ministers on Monday. nepalnews.com sd Dec 30 07
