Nepalese women cricket team tastes first Int'l Victory
The Nepalese Women cricket team started the ACC Women's Cricket Tournament in style outclassing Thailand by 55 runs in Johor Baru, Malaysia.
Nepalese skipper Nary Thapa played an influential role to clinch the victory. Winning the toss, the Nepalese team amassed 95 runs losing 8 wickets in 30 overs. Madhu Thapa scored 36 runs while Binu Budhathoki added 10 more runs in the kitty.
Chasing the target of 96 runs, Thailand was all out in just 40 runs thanks to a superb spell from skipper Nary Thapa. Thapa claimed four wickets while Ritu Kanaudia, Keshari Choudhary and Saraswoti BK took a wicket each to earn their first international victory.
