YCL's activities flouting peace pact, says NHRC
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has said that the violent activities carried out by the Maoist-affiliate Young Communist League (YCL) have flouted the peace agreement.
Pointing at the thrashing of government officer Ganja Bahadur Mahara Chhetri in Dhangadhi and assault against students of Padma Kanya campus in the capital, the commission has said that they constitute serious violation of the peace pact.
The NHRC has issued a statement urging all to stop violent activities and find way out to their problems through peaceful means.
Meanwhile, the NHRC has started the detail investigation of Dhangadhi incident. nepalnews.com sd May 11 07
