Nepal takes part in China travel mart

With the objective of promoting Nepal 's tourism market in China and to attract Chinese tourists, Nepal took part in the international travel mart in China .

"Nepal Tourism Board in association with China Southern Airlines participated in China International Travel Mart (CITM), in the garden city of Kunming, China from Nov 1-4, 2007 in order to attract Chinese tourism in Nepal. NTB was accompanied by two private travel agencies Saathi Nepal Travel pvt. Ltd and South Asian Holidays pvt. Ltd," states a press release by the NTB.

The release adds that at the CITM fair, many Chinese travel trade companies visited Nepal stall and interacted with NTB and Nepalese travel companies about the future business and situation of the country.

"It was found that many Chinese visitors are interested to visit Nepal as the country is heading toward peace and stability. In addition, many Chinese travel agents are enthusiastic to build linkages with Nepal travel agents to start their business," the release states.
