Goit's men shoot at overseer; JTMM-Jwala kills civilian

Cadres of Jaya Krishna Goit faction of Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha (JTMM-G) shot and injured Hari Parajuli, an overseer with the District Development Committee (DDC) in Bara district Monday evening.

A group of armed JTMM-G cadres had barged into the house of Parajuli at around 6:30 pm and shot him before escaping. Parajuli received a bullet injury in his right leg.

He was then rushed by his family members to the Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital in Birgunj where he is currently undergoing treatment.

JTMM-G’s Bara district chief Birat owned up the attempt on Parajuli’s life over phone to local media.

Meanwhile, cadres of another Jantantanrik Terai Mukti Morcha led by Jwala Singh have burned one Dilawar Shah to death four days after kidnapping from his house in Dhanusha.

Claiming the responsibility of Shah's killing, Tiger Singh, JTMM-J’s 'military commander' in Dhanusha, said Shah was killed on charges of spying on them and extorting commoners in the guise of a JTMM-J cadre. nepalnews.com ag Nov 06 07
