YCL cadres rough up NC leaders in Lamjung

Cadres of Maoist-affiliated Young Communist League (YCL) have physically assaulted leaders of Nepali Congress (NC) in Lamjung district on Tuesday.

The YCL cadres attacked MP Hari Bhakta Adhikary, former Assistant Minister Ram Chandra Adhikary, vice president of NC district committee Gam Prasad Gurung and president of district constituency number 2 Ganesh Prasad Neupane, reports Nepal Samacharpatra daily.

The NC leaders were attacked when they had gone to attend the annual function of Sarbodaya higher secondary school in Chandreshwore.

Reports say around 15 YCL cadres were involved in attacking the Congress leaders. The attack is said to have been led by former chief of local people’s government of the Maoists. nepalnews.com sd Nov 07 07
