PM promises to take action against Shah's killers; Shah's body still not found

Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has promised to take action against the killers of journalist Birendra Shah.

Talking to reporters in Koirala residence in Biratnagar on Thursday morning, PM Koirala said that the government will take care of the family of Shah and will make arrangements for the education of his children.

Meanwhile, the search for Shah's body has still continued.

The teams of policemen and journalists have, till now, failed to locate his body at the place where the Maoists said he was buried.

The Maoist-formed probe team had stated that his body had been buried in a ground near jungle in Sapahi of Bara district. The team had admitted that local Maoist cadres were involved in Shah's abduction and murder. nepalnews.com sd Nov 08 07
