Cop killed in clash with dacoits

A policeman was killed in a battle with dacoits in Mahottari district Wednesday night.

Bindeshwor Yadav, a policeman from Halkhori police post, succumbed to bullet injuries he received in a clash with armed dacoits in Naini VDC, reports said.

There was an exchange of fire for a few minutes between the police team and the dacoits.

Another policeman injured in the clash has been taken to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan. nepalnews.com Nov 08 07
