Black-listing of defaulters is constitutional
The Supreme Court has said that black-listing of bank loan defaulters is a constitutional move.
The apex court deemed the provision of black-listing defaulters of loans of banks and financial institutions by the Credit Information Center as constitutional.
The decision was made, on Thursday, by the special bench comprising SC judges Min Bahadur Rayamajhi, Balaram KC and Kalyan Shrestha, reports Nepal Samacharpatra daily.
The apex court made the decision in response to a writ petition filed one and a half year ago demanding that the court deem the provision of black-listing as unconstitutional. nepalnews.com sd Nov 09 07
