Home Ministry asks govt employees in Saptari to return to work
The Home Ministry has asked the government employees working in Sapari district to withdraw their resignations and return to work.
Issuing an appeal Saturday, the ministry said the government had been trying to take additional measures to ensure security in Terai and urged the government employees to withdraw their mass resignation.
The ministry further said the government employees’ strike would not only create problems in service delivery but it would also benefit the violent outfits operating in the region.
The Home Ministry’s release mentioned that the government was deeply suddenly by the killing last week of Prabhu Nayaran Yadav, an assistant level official working at the Saptari District Development Committee, and expressed commitment to take action against those behind the murder.
In protest against growing physical attacks and intimidation by armed outfits and criminal gangs, all the government employees working in Saptari district announced resignation en masse on Friday and halted works in their offices. nepalnews.com mk Nov 11 07
