Accident causes obstruction in highway

After a local resident was killed in a road accident in Adam Ghat area, the locals blocked Prithvi highway on Sunday night.

Nanda Lal Shrestha was killed when a bus heading from Kathmandu to Birgunj hit him on the road at around d 10:30 pm on Sunday.

The driver fled while the bus was taken under control by the policemen.

Enraged locals tried to vandalise the bus, which prompted police to open blank fires to disperse the crowd.
