Tiwari, Aryal join Himalmedia

Himalmedia announced Wednesday that it was taking on board Ashutosh Tiwari as Chief Operating Officer and Kundan Aryal as the new editor of Himal Khabarpatrika.

Tiwari is a graduate of Harvard University in the United States and previously worked with the World Bank's International Finance Corporation in Dhaka as a consultant on garment exports and agro-industries. Earlier, he was with the business and investment division German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) in Kathmandu.

Aryal used to be the editor of Drishti and was the General Secretary of the human rights group, Insec for the past four years. He is also a media educator and commentator on political affairs. Aryal replaces Shiva Gaunle who is leaving Himal Khabarpatrika to deepen his involvement with the Federation of Nepalese Journalists where he is currently vice-president.
