A team formed to draft rules on working journalists
The government has formed a team to draft rules to implement the Working Journalists Act.
The team is headed by Shiva Gaunle, vice president of Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) and includes Prateek Pradhan, editor of The Kathmandu Post, and Ujjwal Sharma, publisher of Himalaya Times, as members. An under secretary at the Ministry of Information and Communication, Rajendra Nepal, has been picked as the member secretary of the team.
The team will have to draft the rules within 15 days.
