Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) chairman Pashupati Shumsher Rana met with Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala and ‘reminded’ him of the RPP’s demand for participation in the local body affairs.
Talking to reporters after the meeting held at the PM’s Baluwatar residence, Rana said he reminded Koirala of the assurance given earlier by peace and reconstruction minister Ram Chandra Poudel that the RPP would be included in local body affairs.
The RPP chief also sought Koirala’s support in inducting two ‘substitute’ RPP parliamentarians. He proposed that Abhisek Pratap Shah, as the substitute his father Ajaya Pratap Shah, a RPP lawmaker who had passed away few months earlier, and Narendra Choudhary in place of lawmaker Nentra Lal Shrestha, who has been living in the USA since last few years.
Prime Minister Koirala was positive over the RPP demands, Rana said. nepalnews.com mk Nov 17 07
