Indian police arrest, release 18 Maoists
The Haryana State Police of India on Tuesday released 18 activists of the Bharat Prawas Sangathan (BPS), an extension of Maoist party in India, including its chief T.P Pathak who they arrested Monday night. The BPS activists were arrested while organising corner meetings in different places of India as per the parent party's order to pressure the government back home into implementing the house directive on declaring Nepal a republic and adopting proportional representational electoral system.
