UML activist abducted

A group of Maoist cadres has abducted member of UML party's Central Industries-Profession Department, Yagya Dhwaj Karki along with two other persons from Pulchowk Wednesday.

Issuing a statement, Central Office Secreatry of UML said Karki was abducted by Maoists along with his driver Dubendra Kunwar and Accountant Tri-Bikram Bhandari Wednesday evening and taken to an unidentified location.

Karki's vehicle was also captured by the Maoists.

UML has, in the statement, strongly condemned the abduction and has urged the Maoists for the immediate release of the three without any pre-condition. nepalnews.com ag Oct 05 07
