NHRC urges YCL to amend its behaviour
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has drawn attention regarding the unruly activities of the Young Communist League (YCL).
In a statement on Friday, the NHRC said the YCL should respect to the rule of law which is essential for protecting the fundamental human rights of every citizens.
NHRC said that it has received several complaints from people against YCL threats for physical action. The YCL has been organising demonstration against those who were accused by the Rayamajhi Commission to have played role in suppression of the Jana Andolan II. YCL said it started the 'exposure campaign' as the government did not take initiative to punish the culprits pointed by the commission.
NHRC has asked the Maoist leadership to respect the individual rights of the citizens and immediately stop YCL from carrying out such activities any more. nepalnews.com ia Oct 06 07
