Abducted school boy found dead 
A school boy who had gone missing from Bainsepati area of Lalitpur four days ago has been found dead Monday morning.
Eight-year-old Dhiraj Adhikari, a student of Dharma Bhakta Mathema School in Nakkhu, was found dead under Balkumari Bridge in Lalitpur. Dhiraj, son of Arjun Adhikari, was a resident of Bainsepati.
The dead body of the boy was found wrapped inside a bag with his mouth taped, police said, adding that the boy was killed after being abducted.
However, the police are still clueless regarding the motive of the crime, as the family members had not received any calls for ransom money.
The dead body has been taken to the City Hospital for postmortem.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Sharad Adhikari of the Metropolitan Police Range, more than 15 persons have been arrested in connection with the murder till now and among them Navin Shrestha and Raj Kumar Shrestha, both residents of Bhaisepati, have already confessed to the crime saying that they had strangled the boy to death
Meanwhile, the boy’s family, relatives and neighbours staged demonstrations in Jawalakhel area demanding strong action against the boy’s killers. Later when they started protesting in front of the Metropolitan Police Range at Jawalakhel police intervened to disperse the crowd. Police also resorted to baton-charging, injuring few protestors in the process.
Due to the protest, the vehicular traffic in Lalitpur and Ring Road area have been disrupted.
Last year during the onset of the Dashai festival a boy named Bibek Sharma Luintel was found murdered in a similar manner few weeks after being abducted. nepalnews.com ag Oct 08 07
