Free health services from local health posts
The government has decided to provide free health facilities from health posts and sub-health posts with immediate effect.
The interim constitution has incorporated free health facilities as the fundamental rights of the citizens and making the state responsible for such arrangements.
Health Minister Giriraj Mani Pokhrel told reporters after the cabinet meeting on Monday that preparations are also under consideration to provide free health facilities from primary health centres and district level hospitals. There are over 211 primary health posts across the country.
