JTMM-Jwala halts armed activities for 13 days

The Jwala Singh faction of the Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha (JTMM) today announced that it would stop its armed activities for 13 days from October 11 in view of Dashain and Id festivals.

Issuing a press statement, JTMM-J chief Jwala Singh announced the halt in armed activities and also asked the party workers to stop collecting donations during this period.

Of late, the two factions of JTMM (another group led by Jaya Krishna Goit) have intensified targeted killings, abduction and extortion in Terai districts.
