NRN reps meet PM, Prachanda
Leaders of the Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) have met with Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala and Maoist chairman Prachanda Friday morning.
The NRNA leaders are in Kathmandu for the three-day third NRN conference to begin from October 15.
During the meeting with Prachanda, they discussed the possibility of attracting NRN investments in Nepal in development and commercial sectors. They also urged the Maoist leader to help create investment friendly environment.
The Maoist is hosting a tea party this afternoon for the NRNA leaders where Prachanda is scheduled to formally invite the Diaspora to invest in Nepal.
After the meeting with Prachanda, the NRNA leaders also held a meeting with Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala. The details of the meeting with Koirala have not been disclosed.
