Plans for int'l airport in Bara begins

The government has started homework for construction of an international airport at Nijgadh in Bara district, a government official said.

The Himalayan Times quoted Bodh Raj Niraula, Joint-Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation as saying that the government is seriously moving ahead with the Build, Operate Own and Transfer (BOOT) and the detailed project report for the construction. He said negotiations are under way for land acquisition.
