Nepse permits online share trading
Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) has granted permission to brokers to start online trading of shares through the Wide Area Network (WAN).
According to the Nepse, the new facility will now allow stock brokers to place order, sell or buy shares from their office via WAN without going to the capital market.
In the first-phase, five broker companies - Malla and Malla Stock Broking (stock broker number 11), Nepal Stock House (stock broker number 14). Nepal Investment and Securities Trading (stock broker number 19), Shree Krishna Securities (no. 28) and Premier Securities (no. 32) – have been given permission to conduct share trading online. These five brokers have already been included in Nepse’s WAN system.
NEPSE has also said it would include the remaining 17 brokers in the WAN system to enable them to conduct online transactions within a month.
“The brokers who have pre-requisites according to Nepse’s guidance will get access,” Rewat Bahadur Karki, managing director of NEPSE told the Himalayan Times.
