UNDP earmarks 360 million dollars for Nepal
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has decided to set aside a budget of 360.4 million dollars to be spent chiefly in Nepal's peace process and various other development programmes.
According to the UN assistance framework (2008/11) made public Wednesday, a large portion of the budget – more than 41 percent – would be spent on basic services.
Similarly, 23 percent of budget would be spent on Nepal's peace process, 22 percent on sustainable livelihood and 13 percent on human rights, gender equality and social inclusion. nepalnews.com ag Oct 25 07
