Gajurel leaves for month-long tour to Europe
A senior Maoist leader has left for a month-long tour to European countries on Thursday.
Chandra Prakash Gajurel aka Gaurav, chief of the international relations cell of the party, has left for a visit to a number of European countries including France, Germany and Italy.
"We want to seek international support against efforts by some quarters to stall the peace process," Gajurel told reporters at the airport.
He added that the tour will be utilised to develop the party's international relations.
Gajurel's visit comes at a time when Nepal is facing acute political crisis, which emerged after the elections scheduled for November 22 was suspended in the face of Maoists' demand for immediate republic declaration and adoption of proportional representation based election system. nepalnews.com sd Oct 25 07
