In his final attempt of facilitating a political consensus, Speaker Nemwang is also scheduled to meet the chief whips of all the parties in the interim parliament before the session begins.
The parliament today will go for voting on the Maoist proposal if the parties failed to arrive at a consensus.
The parliamentary party meeting of the Nepali Congress held this morning has decided to vote against the proposal filed by the Maoists and the UML and said it would not go against the decisions of the central committee and the Mahasamiti.
The parliamentary party of the Maoists held today at Singh Durbar decided to “act responsively” on the proposal filed at the parliament.
On Sunday, the UML had called for unity and consensus on the new political demands to avoid further crisis. It also decided to remain neutral if voting needed to decide on the issue.
