Home Minister Krishna Sitaula has said that the seven party unity will remain intact even if there is a voting to decide the Maoist proposal in the parliament.

Talking to reporters in the capital, on Tuesday, Sitaula said that the special session of the parliament should be used as an opportunity to strengthen the unity.

"The special session has generated new ripples in the politics. We should use this as an opportunity to build unity. Our leaders have the art and capacity to do so," he said.

Responding to the frequent hiccups in the peace process, Sitaula said, "One should not be surprised since the country is entering into new modern era from 250 years of old era."

When asked about continuing violence in Terai region, the home minister said that "these incidents were also linked with the ongoing political process, CA election, transitional phase and ending of monarchy." nepalnews.com sd Oct 30 07
