Deuba furious over delay in unity, NC-D Mahasamiti meeting on Sep 25-26
Sher Bahadur Deuba, president of Nepali Congress (Democratic), has expressed anger over the delay in the unification between NC and NC-Democratic.
Speaking at a programme organised in the capital on Wednesday to mark the tenth death anniversary of Ganesh Man Singh, Deuba said his party has been waiting for the unification for a long time.
He accused NC of delaying the unity process. Deuba stated that if the unity is not announced by September 22, the Congress unity will never materialise.
Meanwhile, NC-Democratic has also decided to hold its Mahasamiti meeting on September 25-26. The party's general secretary Bimalendra Nidhi issued a statement appealing to all Mahasamiti members to attend the meeting.
The NC has already called its Mahasamiti meeting on September 23-24 to formally approve the republican line in the party's election manifesto. nepalnews.com sd Sep 19 07
