Nepalis in Germany donate for flood victims
Through a cultural programme organised by Nepal Pariwar in Germany, 1,180 Euros was raised to be donated for the flood victims in Nepal. The organisation said 1,000 Euros was added from its account.
The association handed over the 2,180 Euro to Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Germany chapter to transfer to Nepal.
Nepal Pariwar was established 12 years ago with the objective of preserving Nepali language, culture, identities and to respect the other cultures with harmony at the same time.
Nepal Pariwar President Dinesh Manandhar requested the Nepali government to execute the laws related to NRN passed recently. Manandhar also drew attention of upcoming NRNA Conference to make an agenda to facilitate the basic human rights of Nepali children and their mothers concerning their passports.
At the programme, Nepali Ambassador Dr. Madan Kumar Bhattarai said that the unity among Nepalis in Germany is very important while Honorary Consulate and NRN Europe Vice President Ram Thapa explained about the NRN Act. nepalnews.com ia Sep 23 07
