NRNA Russia and UK get new ExCom
The National Coordination Committees (NCC) of the Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) in Russia and United Kingdom have elected their new executive committee recently.
According to Jiba Lamichhane, executive committee member of the International Coordination Committee (ICC) of NRNA, the third general assembly of the Russia chapter has elected Dr Mani Raj Pokhrel as the new president and Sapila Rajbhandari and Santosh Kumar KC as vice presidents. Similarly, Dr Badri KC has been elected to the post of general secretary.
A total 278 NRNs out of 402 registered members participated in General Assembly. Addressing the assembly, Nepali Ambassador to Russia Surya Kiran Gurung highlighted the role that NRNs can play for Nepal's overall development.
Likewise, the NRNA NCC in UK also elected its new executive committee under the leadership of Maj. Dammar Ghale. Surya Gurung and Anjkaal Jung Lama have been elected as two vice presidents while Karna Bahadur Shahi has been elected as coordinator. nepalnews.com ia Apr 09 08
