Ambassadors of the United States and the United Kingdom met Prime Minister
Girija Prasad Koirala in Baluwatar separately and discussed the
post-election scenario on Monday.
US ambassador Nancy J. Powell held a nearly half-hour long meeting with
Koirala in the morning. According to Baluwatar sources, the US ambassador
congratulated Koirala on the successful election to constituent assembly
and also shared views on the future government and the constitution-making
process.
Koirala also thanked the US government for its support in the CA election.
Likewise, British ambassador Dr Andrew Hall also called on Koirala,
assuring that the British government would continue its help for Nepal,
Prime Minister's foreign affairs advisor, Aditya Baral, said.
On the occasion, the British envoy also presented a letter of British
minister for International Development Shahid Malik to Koirala,
