Canada to continue its support after CA polls
Stating that the constituent assembly elections constitute an important milestone in the peace process, Canadian government has said it will continue to support Nepal's efforts to achieve a more peaceful, stable and democratic society.
A statement issued by Maxime Bernier, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada on Tuesday said, "Despite some isolated incidents of intimidation and violence, as well as some irregularities, the overwhelming majority of Nepalese women and men voted in a peaceful, orderly and enthusiastic manner."
The Canadian minister also extended sincere congratulations to the people of Nepal on the holding of successful elections.
