PR counting closer to conclusion; Maoists bag 30 percent of votes
According to the Election Commission, of the total 96,14,769 votes counted till Sunday, the Maoists have garnered 29,10,721 votes, which accounts for 30.27 percent.
Nepali Congress (NC) is in second place with 20,65,063 votes (21.48 percent) followed by the Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) with 19,97,459 votes (20.77 percent).
The Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) is in fourth place with 5,51,827 votes (5.74 percent) and the Terai Madhes Loktantrik Party (TMLP) is in fifth place with 2,52,578 votes (2.63 percent).
The TMLP is followed by Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) at 2,40,529 votes. The RPP-Nepal stands at 11th position with 98,925 votes.
Of the total voters of 17.6 million, sixty percent or around 10 million people had cast their votes in the April 10 Constituent Assembly (CA) election.
