RPP rejects resignation of its president

The central committee meeting of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has rejected the resignation of party president Pashupati SJB Rana.

Rana had forwarded his resignation at the meeting, Tuesday, in the wake of the party's all-out defeat in the recently held Constituent Assembly (CA) election.

The party failed to win even a single seat under the First-Past-The-Post category. It bagged 253,600 votes under Proportional Representation category standing in sixth position.

According to party spokesperson Parshuram Khapung, the central committee has urged Rana to carry on with his responsibility, which he agreed.
