Nine killed, over 35 injured in Rautahat bus accident

At nine seven passengers were killed and over 35 others injured when an overcrowded bus met with an accident on the East-West highway near Chandranigahapur of Rautahat district Wednesday evening.

The bus heading for Rautahat's Gaur from Birgunj overturned on the road at around 5:15 pm, reports. Seven passengers including two minors were killed on the spot while others died on the way to hospital.

Identity of those killed in the accident is yet to be ascertained. The injured persons have been admitted to a local hospital. Of them, 15 persons are in a critical condition.

Quoting eyewitnesses, reports said the driver lost control over the bus running in high speed. nepalnews.com Aug 06 08
